Hi, this is Momoko and this is Akane. We’d like to introduce Ghana to you on this show. Ghana is a unique place. We’ll be talking about basic facts and cultural highlights. We hope you enjoy our show!!!

The republic of Ghana is located in West Africa. The capital city is Accra. Ghana means “warrior king”. The flag is red, yellow and green. The black star in the middle stands for the lodestar of African freedom. Their official language is English, but they also have 47 ethnic languages. I think everyone knows the Japanese chocolate brand called “Ghana”. This is because Ghana is the second largest producer of cocoa in the world. Cocoa is used to make chocolate and is this country’s major exports.  Read the rest of this entry »

Responsibility position

Have you heard the word “First-graders problem”? Recently, many first-graders don’t follow teachers’ instructions, and the lesson can’t start and going smoothly. Why does this problem occur? Someone said that this problem caused by “Yutori-kyoiku.” But I don’t think so. If children are trained by their parents before they enter school, such a problem won’t occur. I believe that parents of young children have obligations to their children.

Many parents make mistakes in training their children. When I work part-time at pharmacy, I often come across strange parents. For example, I often see a mother saying “You will be scolded by clerk!” to her child who does bad thing. I think this is really strange. Training child is parents’ duty. It is NOT my job. Supporting child care is important thing, but if parents are trying to shift the responsibility onto other person like this example, they are making a big mistake. They are lacking in a sense of maternal or paternal responsibility.

If parents don’t train their children by themselves, their children can’t understand right and wrong. Then they could be problem children in school. That is really sad thing. So, I’d like young children’s parents to realize that they have responsibility.

Do you believe in power of the music? I believe music can cure illness.

Resently, many hospitals and therapists are using music therapy to help sick people. The famous Greek mathematician, Pythagoras said, “music can heal the disorder of a perosn’s spirit.” I think this is true.

For example, have you heard of the ‘Mozart effect’? The music of Mozart is effective because it includes high frequency which helps a living body functions. In particular, it has frequencies more than 3,500Hz. This helps the brain classical music is an effective musical therapy.

Also music therapy helps autism. Moreover, it extends cancer patient’s life and helps sleeplessness. Finally, I think that music is important because I can relax when I listen to music. And it is comfortable. I hope sick people recovers with it.

This is why I believe in the power of music.

I believe in smile

I think it is important in our life to smile. And it make one’s presence felt. I want to talk about my experience.

First of all, I  practice rugby every day. Sometimes, i feel down to do hard training.  For example, when i run for long time. It is very hard for me. Because i am not good at running a long distance. But, it is no use feeling down forever. So when  i  have a trying time, i try to smile. Because, i think i can overcome  a hard time and cheer everyone up. if  you felt down, i want you to smile. Besides,  if my friends were to be in a feeling down, i would like to amuse them with joke. Maybe, They will laugh at me impression. I think we sometimes need to joke in our daily life. It is also important.

Thirdly, my friends told me that  when they met me at first, i seemed to have a severe look. From then that day on, i try to smile. In order not to give a bad impression, you are careful, too.

I think to smile greatly enlivens our lives.

Do you have a dream? I think everybody had a dream sometime. But some could not make their dream come true and some could make them come true. That is who believe in dream absolutely. If one believes in dream, his dream will give him the energy to get his goal.

Believing in dream is knowing the dream well too. Many people out there are pursuing someone else’s dream and they do not even realize it. If you want to make your dreams come true, you must first have an extremely accurate and definite idea of what your dream is.

There is a saying “Nothing happens unless first we dream”. Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe in dream.
