Do you have a memorable experience which changed you?
I believe in the power of appreciation.
When I was in junior high school, I was too shy to say ‘thank you’. Even if someone was kind to me, I seldom appreciated. My class mate thought that I was stubborn, so they seldom talked with me.
And then, when I was a 3rd year student in junior high school, I met a classmate who often said thank you. When I passed her the handout in the class, she often said ‘thank you’. I thought I wanted to be like her, because she was popular in the class.
So I imitated the class mate, and I tried to say thank you when I entered high school. I often looked for chances of saying ‘thank you’ like her. I was changed into the positive man because I tried to say words of appreciation. I was able to make friends at high school. I was changed.
And now, I love to say thank you, because I can feel happy for saying ‘thank you’. When I get off the bus, I say ‘thank you’ to the driver. When I buy something at a shop, I say ‘thank you’ to the shop assistant.
I think appreciation has a big power. I hope you try to look for chances to say ‘thank you’.
